Scholarship Name: OppU Achievers Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500

Eligibility: High school seniors, college students, graduate students; cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0; U.S. citizen or resident

Deadline: June 30, September 30, December 31, and March 31

To Apply: Students submit a short response to the question "What makes you an achiever?"

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship



The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is among the largest undergraduate scholarship programs available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational experience – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships they may receive.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2022.
  • Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2022.
  • GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Income – Demonstrate unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. Last year’s cohort of new college scholarship recipients had a median family income of approximately $35,000.

THIS HIGHLY COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDES:

  • Up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school.
  • Ability to pursue any area of study.
  • Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid.
  • Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the student experience.

The Black American engineering Scholarship Award

The Black American Engineering Scholarship Award

 

 

The Black American Engineering Scholarship Award provides opportunities to underrepresented students in the field of engineering through scholarship funds and mentorship. Qualifying students can receive up to $10,000 per year for up to 4 years, helping them achieve a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Our application period is open now through Jan. 15, 2022 and we would love to pass along information to any of your current seniors of color who plan to pursue a degree in engineering next year.

To apply, students must be:

– Black American
– Incoming college freshman/current high school senior, or a student transferring from a two-year program into a four-year program
– Eligible for Federal Pell Grant funding
– Able to show proven financial need
– A U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
– In good academic standing
– Enrolling in an accredited, not-for-profit four-year institution
– Pursuing a degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, including any subfield of those disciplines

The Mensa Scholarship

 The Mensa Foundation, sponsors multiple scholarships that are available to U.S. students who meet the following criteria:

·  Be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution during the academic year following the application date.

·  Submit an application and 550-word essay through our portal (https://www.mensafoundation.org/what-we-do/scholarships/us-scholarships/) explaining their career, academic, and/or vocational goals.

The deadline to submit an application is January 15, 2022.

The Daughters of the American Revolution SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English. 

DAR’s scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
  • Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
  • All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance.
  • Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships.
  • Awards are placed on deposit with the recipient’s college or university and any unused portion shall be returned to the DAR.
  • Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship from the DAR.

DAR is pleased to announce all students applying for scholarships offered by the DAR Scholarship Committee will submit their applications using the online application portal below.  Emailed or mailed applications will no longer be accepted, unless applying for the Margaret Howard Hamilton Scholarship.

Florida P.E.O scholarship

 

 

The Florida P.E.O. Scholarship was established in 1994 to provide financial assistance for tuition and fees to qualified women who will be pursuing undergraduate study at a Florida college or university.

 

ELIGIBILITY- Due Date Jan 15th, 2022

 

  • Florida resident who is a citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
    • Accepted for admission for first year of full-time post-secondary (collegiate) study at an accredited Florida college or university (private or public).
      • Dual enrolled high school students are eligible.
      • Pursuing a course of study leading to associate's or bachelor 's degree.
      • Sponsored by a Florida chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
      • Meets requirements of scholarship, character, leadership, and financial need.
  • Has high scholastic standing as measured by GPA of 3.0 or greater, class rank and standardized test scores.

 

GRANT AMOUNTS

 

  • Awards of up to $2,500.00 for tuition, books and course-related fees. Award amounts based upon number of applicants and funds available each year.

 

  • May be renewed for second year of full time study (24 hours in an academic year) pending submission of a completed renewal application, minimum 3.0 cumulative collegiate GPA, and sponsoring chapter recommendation.

  • Applicants must be sponsored by a Florida chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
